We’re back to have a day full of fun!

Prepare yourself for the one of the biggest and best youth focused events of the year! The Mayor’s Youth Task Force in partnership with Childhood Cancer Foundation to host its third MARKHAM AMAZING RACE.

The Childhood Cancer Foundation is a charity that assists children and their families to endure through the difficulties of cancer.

What’s the Markham Amazing Race?

Well for all of you Markham High School Students who just can’t seem to find fun and excitement in your lives, here’s your chance to get active and explore your community.

This is YOUR chance to win $600!

Explore and race around Markham to discover more about your community, have the chance to help a great cause and maybe win some hugely awesome prizes and most importantly, have tons of FUN!
So make sure that Saturday May 15, 2010 is free and clear on your calendar! Let the excitement build, find your perfect race partner, tell your friends, get them to pledge your team to help raise money for Childhood Cancer Foundation and get prepared for one of the biggest days in your high school lives!

Are you ready to RACE?

Here’s how it works:

You must find a teammate (teams are made up of two people); your teammate is not required to be from the same school as you. With this teammate, you must raise money for Childhood Cancer Foundation, a registered charity within Markham.

All money raised will go directly towards this charity which helps children and their families to endure through the difficulties of cancer.

To ensure that all schools within the Markham area have a chance to participate in the race, the teams which raised the most amount of money at each school will join us on Race Day to compete for the $600 grand prize. Along with fund-raising the participants must find a suitable supervisor (18+ yr).

Teams that register have the increased chance to win even more cash and prizes. So be sure to keep fund-raising to increase your chances!

On race day, contestants will travel all around Markham, with their supervisor completing various activities that will test both wits and strength. The team that wins the Markham Amazing Race will receive the grand prize of $600.00 along with endless fame and glory for your school and your community!
